Baha'u'llah has written,

"Wert thou to consider this world, and realize how fleeting are the things that pertain unto it, thou wouldst choose to tread no path except the path of service to the Cause of thy Lord.  None would have the power to deter thee from celebrating His praise, though all men should arise to oppose thee."

The John H. Wilcott Baha'i School provides an opportunity this summer to expand our understanding of the prerequisites for spiritual growth needed to tread the path of service.  Shoghi Effendi described three major prerequisites for spiritual growth in The Advent of Divine Justice:  rectitude of conduct, a chaste and holy life, and freedom from prejudice.  These three topics will form the framework for study and reflection at this year's summer school.

Drawing inspiration and direction from the Universal House of Justice's recent admonition to "reflect on the implications" of Shoghi Effendi's observations regarding these prerequisites, the program of study for this year's summer school will examine these important characterics in light of their applications to both personal growth and to the spiritual transformation of our communities.

There will be presentations, discussions, and small group activities in an atmosphere of mutual support, encouragement, and exploration of these areas of profound spiritual development - together with recreation and good old fashioned Baha'i fellowship.

Rates for summer camp are the same for cabins, RV's, or tents.

Space is available for a limited number of RV's, but there are no hook-ups.
